Soft night feelings
MIND & SOUL
You have 3 brains — the head, the gut, the heart.
All of them create soft feelings. The head is the seat of logic and intellect. However, the unconscious mind directs around 90% of our behaviors. 90% of the body’s serotonin, involved in mood and management, is produced in the gut. Eat well to feel well. There are more neutral pathways running from the heart to the head brain than from the head brain to the heart.
Keys to a soothing night routine and 3 brains:
— Time to process what’s on your mind and mentally prepare for the next day, so you don’t have to think about it when you’re in bed (a clear mind will help you fall asleep and stay asleep as well)
— A good skin care routine (for aesthetic reasons)
— Comfy pi’s — being to hot or too cold will not allow you to relax or peacefully drift off into dreamland
— Put your phone on Avio-Mode until morning
— Do or read something that engages your mind in a gentle way
— Practice gratitude for what’s going well in your life, for people you love, or anything that brings you joy
— Visualization — think of something you truly want, and feel how it feels to actually have it or be it
— Meditation — or deep breathing, to quiet your mind and detach from negative thinking
Choose one and feel soft!
— Sleeping all cozied up in your bed on a cold morning
— Giving someone you love/have missed a warm hug
— Butterflies in your stomach when driving downhill
— Kissing someone you like for the first time
— The softness of your lips when applying smooth and scented lip balm
— Being content with who you are as a person
